For Christmas this year my mom and dad bought rod and i a pretty bird feeder. I thought it would be nice to put some photos up about my little bird that comes to visit us! he is a fast little guy so i had to take the pictures through the blinds! They are a bit fuzzy, but the birdy wont let me go outside and take them!! Both rod and i enjoy the birds in the morning and love to hear them and watch them eat and play. The same i day i took these pictures we saw a female cardinal but she flew away before i could take a picture!!! Maybe next time!! Once again, thank you mom and dad. Rod and I really enjoy the gift you gave us!!!!!

catching up!!!!

well let me take a breather before i jump in to a long story......wwwwhhhhheeeewwww.
Well two weekends ago Rod and I along with Luke, Erin and the ladies and gent went to the pumpkin patch. Jill, Robert and Abigail (sorry if i spelled incorrectly) accompanied us as well. We had a great time working out way through the corn maze. For my parents who would want to know this information, they changed the multiple choice questions to funny pictures like: a pig taking a bath and the answer would have been hogwash! it was quite cute and it almost gave us something to look forward to in the maze. Once Rod, Amber, Ava and I saw the finish line we raced...Rod coming in first, I came in second, Amber third and little Ava was fourth- only because all the others were last! Hee Hee! The farm had created a fun house type of "ride". they had a large shed with one of those spinning tubes inside. Instead of someone walking on the spinning part they made a bridge that stood still while the tube spun. Needless to say when Ava and I walked through I felt as though I was going to fall over!! It was fun!!!! Ava was a little scared but once I picked her up she liked it! She is so cute!!!! We were sad that Eva, Dave and little emmie couldnt come! I think they would have enjoyed it!

We left the pumpkin farm and returned back to Luke and Erins for dinner and a football game. Rod and I came home from an eventful day with our family and rested. We woke up the next day and Rod was sick for a couple of hours and that Sunday night I woke up with the flu....not exciting but it was bound to happen with all the poeple I work with! I spent the next two days resting and trying to feel better. My Roddy brought me some theraflu and peppermint tea! On the second day I was able to eat some soup and felt up to making Rod some BBQ ribs. My most successful dish have been my ribs! I didnt eat them but Rod ate through them!!!!

We show our appreciation to Luke and Erin for giving us one of their dining tables. We have yet to pick it up, but we will soon have it and be able to envite them over. Not having a dining table is hard to have people over!!! But soon and very soon we will be eating off of a real table!!!! yay!!!!

This weekend we helped a young lady move ot of her apartment with the church. We had a good time helping those around us. Afterwards we were so pooped we came home and crashed. Later we did laundry (most likely 3-4 weeks worth). Then we went to church on Sunday and we had a cookout for Mother Watson! We had steak, sweet potatos and so on! Very yummy!

Here we are today now watching The Sword in The Stone! Rod said he love this when he was a boy and I had not seen it in a while so we rented it and now we are watching it!!!!!!

love you all!!!!!!

today is great!

I am at home enjoying my weekend and just thought i would update everyone!!! here is a pictured of my knitting project, i started it over becuase the scarf was too short so i am making it longer! i will put the finished result up!

there is nothing really going on except for my funny story of fried chicken.

I found this recipe online from Paula Deen for fried chicken. I followed the recipe until i got to the part where i needed 1 cup of salt....one cup of salt?? well seeing that i have never made fried chicken before and that paula deen must know what she is doing i followed the recipe!!! haha that chicken was so salty-i felt bad for rod because he ate it, yuk! so next time when paula deen says to use 1 cup of salt i wont!!!! hehee! i think it was a typo--i hope!!

work is great here, nothing new or exciting. sometimes i dont know what to write on here....nothing really goes on here. I guess i lead a boring life!

so this sunday i got up extra early to make a POT ROAST! unfortunately i chose the wrong meat and therefore it was extra crispy dry! but trial and error is what makes the food better. The great thing was my potatos and carrots were awesome and that is what i ate the most!

good afternoon america!

well to all those fans of mine here is the new scoop! Rod and I are enjoying the married life- i didnt think i would say this but i like to cook!!! some times it can be relaxing and mind clearing! it allows me to get all my thoughts processed from that day.
we had a great weekend with both families. On friday i spent time with erin and amber, ava and andrew. We had a good time just chatting and catching up. then on friday night we met up with one of our couple friends, they have been married for three years and can give us some advice but it is nice to be around poeple who have things in common with us. We also ate dinner at Dustin and Kim's apartment (rods sister and brother-in-law). We celebrated the Kempers (rods parents) 27th anniversary! that was nice. Other than that we have not really done much. We are trying to get our apartment clean, but with work and other activities such as church and cooking and all those good married things we hardly get anything done. We do a little every night- what seems to be a pile that should go away over the days, somehow it gets bigger!! not my intentions at all!!!! AHHHHH!!!
Thanks to my sister erin we have a coffee table/eating table! we used it last night for the first time and enjoyed the fact that we didnt have to sit hot plates on our laps or worry about spilling our drinks on the carpet!!! so thank you erin!!! Thanks to my family for helping me move in, i know i did not write cards yet but i wanted to say thank you for all your hard work and helping us out. Thank you mom and dad for coming- it was beautiful ceremony with you both there. I love you and miss you. Thank you to eva and david- and baby too! all the good times and help is appreciated. And with out any further ado i thank erin and luke for letting me settle in their basement room for a year! as well as all the other amenities provided for me as well. Thank you thank you thank you!!!!

now what is everyone doing for the big 4th of july????? i think rod and i are going to go to stone mtn and then i think we are doing something this weekend...im not sure!
i would like a detailed report on everyones 4th of july...even if you didnt do anything!!! heehee

i forgot some people on my thank you list. THank you kim, puala, and elyse for coming to my wedding. I did not invite a lot of people but it was special to have you all there. Thank you!!!

well, i cant think of anything else that would possibly be going on but when i remember i will update my blog!!!!!!

love you all!

Good Afternoon to all my readers

This week has been quite eventful in the fact i have 31 days until the wedding. We have our new apartment- Rod will be moving in on June 1st and I on the 7th after we get married. I am excited! Once we get in there and situated i will take pictures so everyone can see. I am currently waiting on a phone call from the Dr.'s office that i applied for. Work has been okay here at Primerica but it is not the ideal job. It would be nice to work in this area because it will be close to our apartment. I will be living 20 min from Luke and Erins in Snellville so i can still see the girls and Andrew. And i am 20 min closer to David and Eva- it will stil take me 1 1/2 hours to get there but still 20 min closer!!! I am excited that i get to decorate our apartment!! I know in the bathroom the colors will be Brown and a soft sea blue! its very pretty! In the bedroom i am going to also use brown, blue, purple, green, tan and coral. I thought those colors would go well with the Brown comforter- those colors are only the sheets! I am not sure if i will put curtains up- it would be nice but that might be a later added touch! Eva recently gave me Farmors Blue and White dishes- i thought instead of using them ( in case they break due to old age) I would get some wall mounts and place them up in the kitchen or in our dining room! Just to have a couple memories on the walls. I remember the blue and white bowls- Farmor would hand us these bowls to eat cereal in but they were to shallow and had a very wide lip to them. when you were done eating and tried to drink the milk it spilled all over. I used to get so mad but now i chuckle because i probably looked so stupid trying it over and over again, even though i knew it would spill!
That is one thing i miss, being in Florida. Not that i dont like it here in GA but it was so beautiful in Florida. I remember the first day i came to live in FL. It was rainy and the water was breaking on courtney campbell causeway. I met all the people that worked at the corp and went to our new home. Florida has held a lot of memories for me and my family. My farmor and Farfar lived in Florida, Mom and Dad had lived in Florida and that is where Erin and Eva were born. Florida was our vacation spot for the majority of our lives. If there was anywhere in the world that was stable to us it was Florida. It seemed as though we were always brought back together in Florida. Now it will be Georgia. Mom and Dad are in Kenya and when they come it will be in Georgia. It is always nice to know that there might not be a stable home structure but there will always be something stable in your life. Now we know that when we have gatherings it will be in Georgia or in South Carolina. Florida we will miss you but Georgia here we come!!!
The nice thing that Rod and I share is that his family lives in Georgia and for 1/3 of my family lives in Georgia. It is nice to know that we always have love surrounding us and even if we werent in Georgia we would have it in South Carolina too!!!

well it is almost quitting time and my rear hurts from sitting so i am going to hop out of my seat and try to pass the time along!
love to all the dear ones!
